This sauce follows the recipe according to the one the local trattorias made them famous in the 1950s.

It’s just made with tomatoes 50%, mussels from the Adriatic Sea 30%, olio extra virgin olive oil 10%, celery carot onion chili 10%, salt and pepper. No preservatives.

Product Description

If you want to taste the real traditional mussels sauce, that’s the right choice for you. The peculiarity comes from the mussels from the Adriatic Sea, in particular from Portonovo (AN), a genuine and natural bay in Le Marche region.

Around Ancona, mussels that reproduce naturally and live attached to underwater rocks off the Conero coast are known as “moscioli”.

Tips & tricks : Low heat or in the microwave after removing the capsule and pour over pasta jumping in the pan. Add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil before serving. Portion for 2/3 people.
