If you want to taste the real traditional mussels sauce, that’s the right choice for you. The peculiarity comes from the mussels from the Adriatic Sea, in particular from Portonovo (AN), a genuine and natural bay in Le Marche region.
Around Ancona, mussels that reproduce naturally and live attached to underwater rocks off the Conero coast are known as “moscioli”.
